One female pup was stillborn. Big, beautiful, but in the birth canal too long and she couldn't be revived.
One of the male pups left the placenta behind, which resulted in an umbilical hernia. We wrapped his tummy and intestines in cling film to keep them moist and raced to Oakwood vets in Oswestry at 2:30am, where Barbara did an amazing repair job. He came home and fed well, but unfortunately the shock proved too much for his little system.
